Precise Evangelizes Blockchain for the Public Good at the Fintech4Good Forum Held

October 16, 2019, FinTech4Good brought together blockchain thought leaders, technologists, industry leaders and enthusiasts from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and South America. The audience appreciated a healthy dose of discussion, ideation and presentation of use cases from blockchain influencers, evangelists and starred speakers from Precise Software Solutions, World Bank Group, FinTech Worldwide, Impact Institute for the Digital Economy, Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, the Qoin Foundation and more.

With the theme of delivering services for better health and a better life, Ellen Crayton, a blockchain enthusiast, explained how Precise Software Solutions is developing applications using various blockchain technologies and, she further discussed how specific use cases make better use of blockchain than other technologies. We apply the decision tree, a tool our strategy team developed that includes key considerations such as the cost of networking, cost of verification, and ultimately who will benefit from the products or services.

Precise Software’s e-certification application is one of many examples of how blockchain can be used to help eliminate fraud, waste and abuse especially in cross-border transactions of food, dietary supplements and cosmetics. Cross-border trade is defined as the buying and selling of goods, that involves shipment and payment, where the buyers and sellers from around the world can transact business safely. Precise’s e-certiication platform offers provenance and assurance regarding compliance for buyers and the export authorities.

Interestingly what permeated with participants was the development of products and services for the public the good. Sean Cease, BD Executive at Precise Software Solutions was in attendance and also shared the same sentiment.
