ORA Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Task Order Award
Precise Software Solutions Inc. (Precise) has been awarded a call order to continue to perform Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) work under a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Integration. The BPA has a ceiling value of $100,000,000 for one year with six option years.
ORA has laboratories, across the country, that rely on the LIMS to test tens of thousands of samples from food, to drugs, and cosmetics. They are required to record, and track data associated with sample receipt, storage, transfers and disposition. The Precise team is working to incrementally establish an enterprise LIMS solution using an Agile development methodology.
“The ORA labs are critical to the safety of our nation’s food and drug supply and our nation’s public health,” said Dr. Zhensen Huang PhD, CEO of Precise. “Continuing to develop and enhance LIMS for multi-disciplinary labs as diverse as ORA’s is an exciting challenge. We are looking forward to continuing our successful partnership with the FDA to further harmonize business processes, promote the adoption of standardization, and deliver business capabilities for the LIMS solution.”
With the new call order award, the Precise team is responsible for all technical and functional support to the labs including integration, system configuration, Tier 2 and 3 helpdesks, training, instrumentation support, and on-site subject matter expertise.
Dr. Huang added, “The Precise team is comprised organizations that are leaders in technology, life sciences, and laboratory expertise including Dovel Technologies, CSols, Abbott, and Leidos. Our objective is to bring FDA and ORA the expertise needed to fulfill their mission in protecting our public health.”
