Precise Software Solutions, Inc (Precise) has been awarded two contracts for Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) support from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
FDA operates various types of laboratories — including microbiology, food chemistry, drug chemistry, devices, and forensics – where the labs utilize LIMS to manage the analytical workflow operations for users supporting sample accountability, data analysis, document control, report generation, and other lab operation functions.
DEA oversees laboratories, which analyze evidence obtained by DEA law enforcement to support investigations, that utilize LIMS to receive, process, analyze and store the forensic data.
The Precise team is responsible for technical and functional support to both FDA and DEA laboratories including integration, system configuration, Tier 2 and 3 helpdesks, training, instrumentation support, and on-site subject matter expertise.
“The labs that our customers within FDA and DEA operate are critical to the safety of our nation’s public health and national security.” said Dr. Zhensen Huang PhD, CEO of Precise. “We are excited to continue to operate, maintain, and enhance LIMS for multi-disciplinary labs as diverse the ones we support. We are looking forward to continuing our successful partnership with FDA and DEA to further harmonize business processes, promote the adoption of standardization, and deliver an integrated and efficient laboratory environment.”
