Precise Software Solutions, Inc (Precise), an award-winning and innovative small business, is pleased to announce the expansion of its management team with the appointment of Jeremy James as its Senior Vice President to lead its Federal Civilian Business Unit. Mr. James is a trusted advisor and collaborative executive with more than 24 years of success in the federal contracting industry. His well-rounded career spans leadership across strategy, operations, customer engagement, and internal service delivery—bringing a unique balance that drives both mission outcomes and business performance.
Before joining Precise, Mr. James held executive roles including Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and served as a successful entrepreneur. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President of Operations at James Secure Solutions (JSS), where he led day-to-day operations and managed the company’s P&L. He has directed numerous high-impact strategic capture efforts while streamlining internal operations to enhance growth and profitability.
Mr. James brings deep experience in federal technology and management consulting, having worked across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and a range of Civilian Agencies. He previously served as a Senior Principal on the Biometrics Architecture Team supporting the DHS US-VISIT Program, shaping the enterprise-wide use of biometrics for entry and exit at U.S. ports. Earlier roles included Program Manager for the Army’s PKI and CAC Program and Senior Technical Liaison to the DoD Biometric Management Office.
Mr. James holds a Master of Science in Engineering and Technology Management with a focus in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from West Virginia University. He is also a certified Program Management Professional (PMP) and has served as the DC Chair of the Operators Guild.
