Precise Awarded FDA IPV6 Plan, Design, and Implementation Project

Sep 26, 2024

Precise Software Solutions Inc. (Precise) has been honored with a new contract award from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to lead the planning, design, and implementation of IPv6.

As part of the federal government’s effort toward modern and secure network environments, this initiative supports the requirements in the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) mandate which requires 80% of IP-enabled assets on federal networks to operate in IPv6-only environments by the end of fiscal year 2025.

The FDA’s IPv6 project will modernize its Core Network, Metro Area Network (MAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), On-Premises Data Centers, and Cloud environments. This implementation will improve network scalability, flexibility, and security across FDA operations.

“Precise is honored to partner with the FDA on a project that directly supports the agency’s digital transformation and cybersecurity goals,” said Lisa Creason, Chief Growth Officer of Precise. “With the adoption of IPv6, the FDA will be better equipped to meet future demands for secure, high-performance connectivity across its national infrastructure.”

This award reflects Precise’s dedication to enabling secure modernization efforts for federal agencies. Precise is proud to support FDA’s mission through innovative technology solutions.
